Building a sustainable future together

At Gurpa Bio, we are committed to permanently reducing the environmental impact of conventional plastics. That's why all the materials we use are either 100% recyclable or 100% compostable and biodegradable, certified under 'Industrial and Home Compost' modalities by TÜV Austria and through the use of bioplastics such as Polylactic Acid (PLA) derived from corn.

Additionally, we strive to promote ecological awareness in our society to ensure the well-being of our region, our country, and the world we live in.

Compostable solutions

Design of compostable packaging that decomposes under composting conditions, converting the material into organic matter.

Recyclable plastics

Use of plastics that can be processed and reused for manufacturing new products.

Thickness reduction

Reducing the thickness of the film to use less plastic in each packaging, which leads to a lower amount of plastic waste generated.

Life extension

Extending the shelf life of food to reduce the need to discard products before consumption, which significantly contributes to reducing food waste.

Post-consumer material

Use of recycled raw materials in our packaging to reduce environmental impact and promote circular economy.

Energy Optimization

Implementation of measures and technologies to reduce energy consumption in production processes.

What is a sustainable packaging?

A sustainable packaging is designed to minimize environmental impact throughout its lifecycle, achieving a balance in its ecological contribution to the economic chain and its impact on social awareness and well-being.

New compostable line

This new product line is made from bioplastics with high water vapor permeability, allowing optimal crop respiration.

We provide high-transparency packaging designed for fresh produce with low respiration rates. Additionally, these packages are environmentally friendly as they are 100% compostable and disintegrate in approximately 12 months under composting conditions. They are certified by FDA and TÜV AUSTRIA.
